A lot of listing brochures, real estate signs, and business card have Quick Response codes, or "QR" codes, that gives you information about the property or real estate agent immediately. When you scan the code, it takes you directly to a property website or agent website.



If you are not familiar with the neighborhood you are looking in, Aroundme is a great app to use. Using Aroundme, you can see nearby restaurants, shopping centers, grocery stores, and much more.



Wikihood is another app that is useful if you are not familiar with a particular neighborhood or city. It gives you information about any neighborhood. Including important landmarks, local companies, and geographical information. It also gives you a virtual tour of the city!



Evernote is a free app that allows you to create and take notes via text, recorded voice memos, or pictures, then sync those notes to all your devices. If you are looking at more than one house you can take notes and pictures so that you can keep track of the details of each house!



Homesnap is an app that allows you to find out the value of a home, the estimated property tax and nearby schools. How it works is you snap a picture of the home and the app will load up the details for you. This can be helpful in estimating what you may spend in a certain neighborhood.                                                                              



U.S. Mortgage Calculator can be a very useful app to help you figure out if a house is in your budget.                                                               



House hunters lets you to list everything you are looking for in a home. While you tour a house, you can take pictures of the home and check off features the home has off the list you created. The app then automatically calculates an overall score, taking in account size location, year home was built, and price per square footage. This will help you rate the houses you are looking at!
